Veiled Chameleon set up

Have a 6 month old Veiled (Pascal) in a 12x12x18 cage mix of plastic plants some live Pothos. He has just completed his fourth shed and is about 7-8" long tail to tip.

Using a 13W 5.0 UVB bulb and 40W basking bulbs in ZooMed dual bulb fixture.

Current mid range temp is 75 degrees, basking 80-83, humidity 50-80%. Night temp 60 Degrees.

Fog three times a day, while I'm at work and then good misting about three hours before light go out.

I live in Northeast -- so getting harder to keep humidity up with dry heat in house. Current cage is above baseboard heat, New cage about four feet awy from baseboard heating.

He is eating 10 crickets or 12 wax worms daily- I mix in a horned worm with the waxed once a week. I use a canary nest as my worm feeder.
I use calcium w/out Vit D five days a week, with two days a week and Repti it once a week to coat the feeders. I do gut load.

So Now I need help-- switching over to a 20x20x36. I have plenty of vines and sticks- will add another Pothos.

New Lighting -- Going to use a 50W Repti Sun Basking and a 15W 5.0 18" tube for UVB. I was also going to add a 40W heat bulb to keep larger enclosure warm and create humidity from the mister.

Should the heat bulb be on a different fixture just to maintain temp or in the dual ZooMed fixture?

I am using a Monsoon mister-- I currently have it in the cage, but was thinking about placing nozzles on top of screen to get the same drip effect that I get from the fogger and misting I perform - yes or no?

I will mist twice day for 2 minutes. I have a perforated bottom that flows into drip pan. I will still fog --he seems to like it, so back that off to twice a day.

What am I missing?

So I know there will be some stress related issues, anything I can do to minimize stress, i.e. time of day, mist before or after I introduce him to the new surrounding, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to be labeled Like Nick but he received 24 responses. I can't even get one.

Just wanted to chime in and say too many wax worms. They're mostly fat. Think of them like a candy treat.

I'm not sure you need a Repti Sun Basking bulb and a 40 watt "heat bulb". Still, someone else should chime in on this. I use a plain 60 watt bulb for a 2x2x4 cage and it's plenty of heat, little too much at times but I live in South FL.

Good luck with some answers.

Wax worms are too fatty to be fed to your cham every day, maybe try silk worms instead (they're also really soft and cute). I don't know how big your pothos plant is, but more live plants would help keep the humidity levels up.

Id say that there is no need for expensive basking bulbs,, a regular old incandescent will do.

as SocialNumb suggested, that's a lot of wax worms. take a look at http://chamownersweb.net/insects/nutritional_values.htm
at 22%(of sample) its extremely high. that would be like you or i eating take a look at https://www.chameleonforums.com/warning-do-not-feed-too-many-superworms-your-cham-81235/
to get an idea why... but that's just super worms(17% fat).....

id also suggest that misting before lights out is kinda... probably not a good idea, you probably want the moisture to dry before it goes dark... but i don't know how much moisture is put out by the monsoon... 2 minutes with 2 nozzles on a mistking in a 2x3x4 enclosure, small puddles at the bottom... that dont dry up..

you said you live in the northwest, probably use fire wood? you will probably need to mist more frequently for less time, plus run the fogger in there some, in the winter, to maintain the humidity....
