Hey guys,

Jo was looking incredibly cute and adorable today, so I got a few quick pictures of her. She thought that my camera was her water bottle the entire time and kept trying to bite it, which made for some neat shots.

I took a break and gave her a drink, so she is swallowing water in these next three.

Aww bless her! Well she looks very happy in them pics! And thats horrible how could someone do that! Or was he not sure on how too look after her? If so why would u purchase a cham with no clue on what ur doin!? So annoying! But shes in safe hands now :) shes lovely :)

He had no idea what he was doing. He actually bought a replacement chameleon in anticipation of her dying a few days before he brought her to the pet store. He was an exchange student from Australia, and it is hard for them to get reptiles that are not native to the country there, so he wanted to get one before he went back home. It took him five months to do that to her.

God thats not nice! he should of researched! Like u say 5 months :-O thats a long time without the propper care she needs! Bless her little cotton socks!! Well jus glad she has someone that knows what they doin and can give her the best of care she needs good for you!! :) :)

Awe so great to see her again! I love the 5th picture the best as well!!! You sure have been a life saver for her!!

Every time I see her it brings a smile to my face but a little bit of sadness too when I think that someone could have treated her in such a horrible way. I am so glad that you got her and her name is so cute too! I admire your dedication to this animal as many would not have taken on the extra tlc that she needs.

I absolutely love finding your pics and updates on JoJo! Thank you for sharing your story.

It is very inspiring and a helpful reminder that there can be success with time, patience and hard work on our parts with these little one who just don't want to give up!

And, thanks! Your timing is impeccable--I was in dire need of a dose of inspiration right now...

I'm glad that I can help, and thank you for your support through all of this :)

This might be the wrong time and place to ask this, but I don't want to make a separate thread for it. How old do you guys think she is? I'm just dying to know because it will help me to monitor her health when she gets older, and I'll know if it is just that time, or if something has gone wrong. Someone told me early on that she looks to be around one year old, but one of the females that we have at the store is a little over one, and she is far bigger than Jo :/

I love the fact that so many people on here it seems, even though if there chameleon has a problem health-wise, they don't give up. That says alot about alot of the people on here.

I couldn't agree more. Some of them are rescues taken in by members to help. Others member didn't know proper care form the beginning and came to the forum for help. But yes this forum is great about helping people get though the hard times to help their chams. Very dedicated people who are very dedicated to helping their chams.

If I can ask does her mouth stay open like that or what? sorry I'm probably asking already answered trivia

Haha, I think I might have already said it in a completely different thread, but yes, her mouth does stay open all of the time. It just makes it hard for her to chew her food :)
