hi everyone! I have a beautiful female veiled chameleon named Trevor (the name is a long story haha). Anyways, she has been acting strange and I would love to hear any advice the community could give to me.
I feel as though I give her the best care she can have. I mist her 5 times a day, give her calcium and vitamins, I make sure her diet is consistent and full of healthy options other than just crickets, and I make sure she is getting enough water. her cage setup is filled with plants and places to hide and is the right temperature.
about a week ago I noticed she wasn’t going to the bathroom.. like at all. I’ve been busy with college and wasn’t keeping track of her poops but I started realizing that I haven’t had to clean anything up. Unlike how chameleons are supposed to act, she loves being held and I take her out often. Recently tho, It seems as though all she wants to do is go out of her cage and onto my arms. Every time she sees me come into my room she automatically wants to get out. she won’t eat anything either. She loves eating waxworms but I give them occasionally. She didn’t want anything to do with them (literally her favorite snack) and was more focused on being held rather than eating. I have an appointment with the vet tomorrow. Hopefully everything is okay! If anyone can provide any advice or similar experiences that would be wonderful. Thank u!
