Veiled chameleon likes the floor or sick?

I have had my veiled for about 4 months now, he receives the same husbandry as my panther who I got at 2 weeks old and is now 6 months old.

For some reason my veiled has always loved running on the floors in my house. He will ignore the wonderful free range I give him and go straight to the floor.

In his cage he is starting to climb down to the bottom and a few times i have caught him standing on the floor, and just standing there for no apparent reason.

My panther, who is receiving the same husbandry is thriving, so I was wondering if this is preliminary signs of illness or hes just a bit on the strange side.

Tongue shoots awesome, grip is strong, eyes show that he is well hydrated, legs look plump (not underweight).

I can't fill out the entire husbandry thing right now, but I was just looking for some opinions.

i have a healthy male veiled and every once in a while ill go check him out and he is standing tall on the floor not slugish just standing there as soon as he see me though it is right back up and to the top i was very worried the first time i saw this but it has been months since the first time i seen it and since i maybe seen it 5 more times i like to tell my self he is day dreaming about his free range. now iam not saying dont worry but if he is totally healthy as you stated above just keep an eye on him my guy is still doing great

It's my moms chameleon and she's now changing the story....

She said she saw him layin there on the floor and then he walked up to the top of the cage.

And she has him out right now and she said his grip isn't as strong...as in it's normally painful it's so tight, now it's kinda tight.

He's running all around on her hand right now like crazy.

He is due for a good shed
