veiled chameleon jumped

My chameleon is about 6 months old. Today, she jumped from a vine only about 4 or 5 inches down onto a plant. She didn't seem hurt by it or anything, and it didn't seem like she slipped... do chameleons generally do this? or is this something I need to worry about?

ive heard of chams liek fischers and jacksons being famous for this, but not veileds lol. its nothing i would worry about it though.

Were you looking in on her when she did it by any chance? They do tend to just run blindly when tiny - Amy, me female veiled, used to do it. She ran off my hand once too and landed on the floor! They are desinged to withstand falls - int he wild they would drop from a branch to escape predators. She was probably trying to run away if she felt threatened by your presence. As long as she is still eating, drinking, pooping and moving around as normal, then she should be fine!

Could be a chance that your cham spotted prey and got excited..my chams are fast in hunting mode and get all excited..
