Get rid of the infared bulb and then for the other bulb, try using a normal incandescent house light up to 60-70 watts.

The bulb you and they have been using to bask him may be causing eye troubles...

Also, make SURE to turn off all the lights at night.

Make sure to feed him as much as he will eat in a day to fatten him up, he looks a little frail.

Also try and avoid using a big water dish, and buy a dripper. If you must use the dish to catch water, keep it, but empty it every day. Make sure that if you use a dripper that it drips onto some leaves so he can drink it.

Also get rid of that fabric you are using as a branch, the shoelace or sweater-tie or whatever that black fabric is. It will wobble all over and he won't be able to use it and it will get water damage due to the amount of humidity you'll need in the cage.

Using fake twisty branches or real branches is much better.

Welcome to the forums. I'm sorry to see your boy not well. I keep veileds along with several other species. You are going to have to change a few things to try to get him healthy. He needs the correct lighting. The wrong kind of lights can damage their eyes and he will also get MBD if he doesn't have the proper UVB light. Outside time is an excellent source of UV. There's tons of UV even in the shade so if it's hot where you live he's still getting UV in the shade. Chameleons drinks from dripping water he will need a dripped and will also need to be misted. I would remove the standing water in them bottom of the cage. Bacteria can grow in standing water and cause him additional health problems. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers and it has the way I have successfully raised veileds over the years. I'm also going to try to find a link about what you can do at home to help with his eyes. Just getting the correct husbandry might help.
