Hi guys I’m new to the chameleon world and have a (female, I believe) baby piebald veiled chameleon. I have only had her 6 days and she likes to sit in the same spot. Today she has been moving through the cage and has bright colors and blue spots! Please help:) is she healthy?

We mist her a lot throughout the day and I’m getting a fogger, the cage came with a mister the humidity just wasn’t as high throughout the day.

She look fine. It could be she not used to her surroundings. Perhaps she is hot if she been up the higher elevation of the cage prior. Or she feeling vulnerable.

But her habitat is subpar in design. Omit the carpet and the fake foliage. Use real plants. Consider using all Pothos. Put on on the bottom of the cage. You can buy a raised pot for Pothos for the higher elevation. You want to provide real coverage like she can be hidden like in a tree/bush. Others with more experience will chime in. :)

She is beautiful in coloration! Her teal hues are gorgeous.

Hi and welcome to the forums. A beautiful piebald girl you got.

Before we gonna say what not to do or what needs to change please give this a good read https://chameleonacademy.com/veiled-chameleon-care/ it will provide you with all information necessary.
One thing is already important, stop misting during the day when the (heat) lights are on, a humidity level of 30-40% is maximum, this prevents the cham from getting respiratory infection. After lights are out you want to go as high as possible towards 99%.

Are you using a UVB light? If, what kind?

If you would like to get the best feedback on your husbandry, to ensure a great healthy life for little girl, I would suggest filling out following form and we will provide you the best constructive feedback. Because, I'm seeing some things that could give health issues sooner or later.
