Veiled chameleon eggs

We're at 160 days. How much longer do you think we have to go? A couple weeks or still a month or so? I can now see eyes when I candle them & a tail. Some even moving around. It's hard to get a good picture of the tail & eyes setting my camera on a timer & getting the right angle. U can kind of see it tho if you know what your looking for. Less & less light passing through. Some seem more full & darker then others.

Be really careful doing this. You can actually kill the egg by rotating them around and picking them up. It is why they are typically marked on the top so that breeders know what side was up originally.
Incubation times vary based on temp and how they are incubated. Most people keep them in a place where the temperature is regulated and does not have big fluctuations.

I just started candling them last month. I do not rotate them. I carefully straight up, candle, straight down. & I don't do each 1. The others I have left them in the container. I didn't mark mine the embryo is noticable on the bottom. Now that the baby is getting bigger it's a little harder to tell. But the air sac is on the top. I've read a lot up on them. I had them at 68 degrees. That's the temp it was in my upstairs closet. Last month I moved them downstairs in a cupboard that is 74 consistent. Read when u do that it can indicate spring time. & It's either that it's there last few months or the temp change is helping them develop more. Idk.

I never touch my eggs. They are just to fragile.
Veiled eggs usually hatch around 8 to 9 months depending on the temperature.

I don't either and I don't look at them very often either so they won't dry out and I don't disturb their mini eco system.
Mine take about 240 days at 74F.

Ok. In other groups I'm in on Facebook some have hatched at 6 months. I know I need to be patient. I'm just so excited to meet these little ones. ❤️

I know I'm being impatient. I'm just so excited to meet them! I have everything ready. Crickets hatching. I just also don't want to start the fruit fly cultures too early or too late. Theres no places near me that sells fruit flies so I have to get them shipped. But I finally have a hang on breeding crickets so that has relieved some worry.

I have 2 T5. 5.0 just have the plant light over my bin right now. But we're ready.

IMHO your babies with get in the pots of those plants and get scared and lost.

Here’s how I keep my babies.

Oh... I just changed it too. I did have a soil bottom. With plants growing in the soil. But I was told with it not being fully bioactive with the bugs. That the Chams would get sick so I just put the plants in pots. I have some smaller pots I could use so they're closer to the bottom.
