I see a lot of different answers on the web and forums....

I have a healthy Female, had her since 10/1/2008, she was approximately 5 months old when i got her.

i wanted to see what you guys/gals experiences were with your own veiled chams life spans......

Wow that's a serious beard ha.I know what you mean about life spans its hard to get a straight answer.I can't tell you I'm only on my first he's only a chap :) I've seen it said to expect 4 years and other places saying up to ten.to the best of my knowledge anything over 6 years in captivity is good work

ok, yeah i figured there is no exact number, was just looking for examples, cause ive seen 5 to 8 years and ive seen 10 to 12 on the internet.

thanks,

anyone that has had 1 or more for an entire life cycle please chime in!!!

Almost all my female veileds live to be 6 years old...and some of them even make it past 7. The males generally live even longer.

how you care for her, food availability, temperature, whether or not you allow egg/baby production, etc will affect lifespan.

5-6 years is typical for a female, with good care. 7+ years is uncommon - Kinyonga is the gold/plantinum standard :)

ok thank you very much, sad to say my female is in her late years then.... as you can see from date i purchased her and she was 5 months old when i did...

what are some signs to look for when she is dying, right now shes perfect...

but just so i know not to get alarmed and rush her to the vet even though its just old age and nothing i can do...
