Is the Veild Chameleons cone supposed to be soft?

The casque's sides should be soft. That's a fatty deposit, showing good health. The bone is like an arch that goes from front to back. Someone on here posted a pic of a veiled skeleton very recently. Search "casque" and see if you can find it. Or google image "veiled chameleon", I've seen one there before.

I will do that. When I had him out earlier I lightly stroked his casque and it was soft, I thought I read somewhere that if it was soft that was bad. . Glad to know that was wrong!

If you watch him chomp on food, you can see the muscles working in there, too.

yea, the bones run along the front and back.
Its actually called a casque for future reference.

Thanks Justin. I thought it had a name but I couldn't think of it I figured I'd put "cone" instead of something that was way off

The sides should be soft but not the outer edges where the bone is. If this is soft, you have mbd.

Okay the otter edges are firm. They're not soft.
