Hi im sure you have heard that i am getting a chameleon soon and i was wondering....should i get a male or a female post your thoughts

Both have their pros and cons. Males are larger so more food, larger cages, more aggressive, generally live longer, and generally more impressive looking.
Females can be more docile, still have cool colors, but you have to deal with the egg laying thing, even if they're never mated.
I would say for a first chameleon owner, male veiled. The egg laying for females can be stressful for her and the owner.

I would agree...we have 4 chameleons and still have nothing but males. I would go for a male for your first.
