I was hopping someone has see anything like this. I have a 3year old male veiled chameleon that has a growth inbetween his eye and nose and I think it protrudes to the other side. It started the looking like a pimple and when it got bigger I took him to the vet who had experience with reptiles but wasn't a specialist they prescribed antibiotics it went down but then got bigger anybody have more ideas as what it could be ?

Yes, I have seen this too many times to count and really just in the Veild chameleons for some reason. Maybe it is just the pic, but it looks like multiple bumps. It is an abcess and it is connected with the sinus cavity which is connected to their eyes. If you notice in the first pic, his eye on the right looks effected. From what I know, the infection can drain into the eyeball. I have seen eyes that are huge from the infection. That bump/bumpb needs to be lanced and cleaned out and a culture and sensitivity test should be done on the contents to see which antibiotic is best to combat it. The antibiotic you were prescribed might not be the right one, and the bump itself is going to have to be addressed.

Thats what I first suggested to the vet it could be an abese but the vet said it wasn't and said she would have to be put to sleep to lance it though and she didn't want to should I try and find another vet

I've seen abscesses like this in other species. My wc verrucosus had a large one. The vet did clean it out, leaving a hole that extended through the roof of his mouth. Shocked both of us, but amazingly it healed without complications!

As this abscess is growing you do need to deal with it. I'd check the top of the forum for a list of experienced vets in your area.

So much for finding a vet the one doesn't practice anymore one doesn't see exotics anymore and ones 7 hrs awAy

Is there a chance your vet could explain to mine what they did and did they have to put him under

There are several great vets on the forum who have helped others...ask ferretinmyshoes. Maybe one of the vets recommended by the forum could consult with yours.
