vailed chamaleon 10 months old

she is not eating for few days, what can i do?

Some chams wont eat for a few days, especially when they get older, also though, she may be on a hunger strike, cuz she got bored with her daily feeders. try others, or just wait her out.

thanks, i try fruits and veggies but she didn,t want it, i am going to try with worms, and she is 10 months do myou think that she need more space, she have the starting kit. ohh and she looks skinny.

When one of my guys went on strike the only thing he would eat was hornworms. Just an idea. Mulberry farms is having a great deal on them right now.

How big is the cage?

Their are many online stores that you can order a screen cage from. DIY enclosures are great and many people like the ones from LLL reptiles. Check the forum sponsors and shop on their.

Chameleons love to have room to roam around. Vields are on of the larger species which means a larger enclosure. Also you have a female. Do you know about needed a laying bin for her? Even when they are not bred, they still lay infertile clutches of eggs and need a place to lay them inside their enclosure.

Jannb has a great blog about it.

ok when they start to need a place to laying bin?
Females can start laying eggs as early as 6 months old. However, yours in ten months, so if she hasnt shown signs of needing to, you may want to get that set up, many ppl on here who have females, will simply leave a laying bin in their enclosure 24/7, this way, they dont miss the signs of needing to lay.
If a female becoems eggbound, they can die.
Find Jannb's profile, and read her blog on laying bins.
