No one knows for sure but there has been strong support for drecreasing the amount of dusting. Are you currently dusting the insects she eat with vitamins and calcium? If so how often? Are you lightly dusting or are you coating them?

Go check out Sandrachameleon's blog about supplementing. Go here.

It's possible that she could have been subjected to oversupplementation before you got her. If you're worried, take her to the vet, but I'd just giver lots of water and see if it goes away in a day or two. Others may chime in and correct me, but as far as I know, it's probably from oversupplementation of calcium.

tks that makes me & juliet happy

Yes I'am not sure what the white stuff is, but I dusted the crics with it and Romieo & Juliet ate them all up.

What are your supplements, over supplementation of certain vitamins can lead to possibly fatal problems.

You only use a multi-vitamin a few times a month you need calcium w/o D3 and w/o phosphurus for everyday use and calcium with d3 3-4 times a month.

Actually, the d3 depends on what brand of calcium you have, so I like to say 2 times a month to be safe.

What brand is it? I use the repcal brand Calcium and multivitamins.

I give my adults multi 1x/month, Calcium W/D3 2x/month and plain Calcium all the rest of the time when I feed my chams. I feed them 5 days a week.

This is my schedule for a baby.

Week 1:
Mon-Fri: Calcium w/o d3
Sat: none
Sun: calcium w/ d3

Week 2:
Mon-Fri: Calcium w/o d3
Sat: none
Sun: Multvitamin

Week 3:
Mon-Fri: Calcium w/o d3
Sat: none
Sun: Calcium w/ d3

Week 4:
Mon-Fri: Calcium w/o d3
Sat: none
Sun: Multivitamin.

However, when they are adults, you only need to dust with calcium w/o d3 every other time you feed.
