Vacation without my Veiled

I'm suppose to go on vacation the first 2 weeks of July and I have no one to watch my veiled chameleon. If I stock her cage up with large crickets, can she survive without me for 2 weeks? She's about 10 inches long with tail included, not sure what age that would make her though..

Thanks for your input!

I would highly recommend you get a friend, neighbor or a forums member to come over and mist, feed and check on her. A thousand things could go wrong in 2 weeks.

My local reptile store do a kinda 'babysitting' service. Where you can drop off your animal and they will look after them for a minimal fee. (You have to contact them first to see if they have the space tho, clearly)
Might be worth giving them a call and finding out if they have this?
Just packing the viv with food could cause harm as the others have posted on here stories of their food nibbling on their Cham!?

She'll need moving water provided every day in addition to food.

Two weeks seems like an awful long time. I'm just thinking about the amount of crickets you would need to put in the cage, assuming that's what you use as feeders. 10/day x 14 days  That's alot of crickets to gang up on your cham at night.

Call your vet or like someone else mentioned, your local pet shop. One of them would probably look after it for a fee. I need to do the same but not for two weeks, only one week.

It would be a good idea (if you aren't going to board him somewhere) to invest in automating your misting and lights so that you can have someone over every other day to feed and check up on the animal.

You shouldn't leave crickets in the cage. At night they will chew, and could very well injure or even kill your cham if there's that many. I'm sure you could advise a neighbor or someone how to feed and water.
