UVB question

hi\ guys\, im\ getting\ super\ close\ to\ the\ 6month\ mark\ and\ i\ know\ i\ need\ to\ change\ my\ bulb\ soon.\ i\ was\ wondering\ how\ long\ i\ could\ safely\ strech\ out\ this\ bulb?\ here\ in\ pa\ it\ has\ been\ cold\ and\ war6m\ but\ on\ the\ warmer\ days\ i\ can\ let\ my\ guy\ get\ natural\ sun\ for\ a\ few\ hrs.\ could\ i\ get\ away\ as\ is\ for\ another\ month\ or\ two?\ i\ plan\ on\ getting\ a\ female\ and\ just\ cutting\ bulb\ replacement\ costs\ with\ one\ longer\ UVB\ strip.\ i\ can\ afford\ a\ new\ bulb\ if\ its\ a\ must\ but\ sense\ im\ currently\ in\ a\ job\ hunt\ little\ cuts\ help.

I would get a new one now l. It's suprising how little uv the bulbs let off nearer the end of their lifespan even before 6 months old. Arcadia do uv lights that last a year.

alright\,\ maybe\ ill\ get\ the\ longer\ light\ tube\ since\ im\ currently\ useing\ a\ spiral\ 5.0\ and\ than\ when\ i\ get\ my\ female\ ill\ just\ slide\ it\ over.\

is\ this\ light\ recco6mended\ it\ seems\ cheap\ considering\ i\ payed\ $20\ for\ my\ 5.0\ spiral\ by\ same\ exo-terra.\ yet\ 6my\ petstore\ is\ a\ rip\ off.\ does\ anyone\ know\ if\ it\ will\ fit\ 6my\ old\ fish\ tank\ lighting\ fixture?\ the\ bulb\ length\ is\ 24"\ but\ i\ know\ in\ the\ past\ my\ mom\ had\ trouble\ finding\ lights\ that\ were\ the\ right\ thickness.
