I think most major vendors that were having these issues with their CFL screw in bulbs about 3 - 4 years ago have got the situation corrected.

However!!
Important:
Now that we are seeing many new "brands" of imported Asian CFLs on E-bay etc. that are untested,
it is important to be aware of eye problems.

These can result with UV B bulbs that allow NON Terrestrial UV rays ( Rays below 290 nm & UV C) to "leak" out through the glass---- because the glass is not of the correct composition.
