UVB Light Okay?

I just bought a Slimline Tropical Fixture, 18" T8. Tropical 25 UVB T8 Fluorescent bulb. The fixture came with a casing covering the UVB light. Should I take it off so Ashes gets all her rays she needs?

I thought that plastic and glass covering a UVB won't allow any in?

I would remove it. What kind of cover is it?

If there is a way to remove it without totally ruining the fixture then yes, take it off if you can.

Thank you everyone. I removed the cover It just took two screws lol.

That uvb bulb is a good one. I believe the plastic on these fixtures allow the uvb to pass through. That being said i would still remove it
