Hi there,
Get your new baby a 5.0 UVB Reptisun linear tube style florescent light. Those are the best and needed for metabolizing Vit D3 and calcium. Don't get the UVB compact style spiral type bulb because it's very bad for their eyes and can lead to blindness.

You need a 5.0 linear tube.
I use the 18'' size. The linear (straight long, not CFL [curly]). Reptisun or any other reputable brand is good. You will also need a 18'' fixture to put the bulb in.
I got mine at Lowes it was called " Under Counter Fluorescent Fixture ." it was about 8 bucks.

Happy Hunting.

(in the future, get all supplies before getting the animal if possible)
And for the basking, you can just use a regular incandescent house bulb (60 watt.) The basking spot needs to be about 83 F.
