Im getting a 12 inch hood with a reptisun 10.0 for my 11 month old veiled.This is the right size right?

There's no right size... try get the longest bulb that will fit on top of your cage. My male's cage is larger, so I use a 36" for that one, and the female's smaller cage has a 24" on top.

As for the UV rating (10.0 vs 5.0), 5.0 is usually adequate for a Veiled, but on some of those dark, thick mesh Flexarium type cages - which cut out a lot of the UV light passed through into the cage - the 10.0 bulb is sometimes recommended.

PS - what size cage are you keeping your cham in? If all you can fit on top is a 12" bulb, it's quite possible that the cage you have is too small now for your 11 month old Veiled. At that age, he is probably ready for a full size adult enclosure (48"h x 24"w x 24"d or larger).

We're getting it on a discount from our friends store so they said if there isnt a big diffrence between the 12 inch and 24 inch shell get me the 24 inch.
