UV light flickering

I just replaced the UV bulb this weekend (6 month change out) and I've noticed the new bulb has a slight flicker sometimes. It's not flickering completely off and on, just flickering in intensity. It is a Reptisun 5.0 linear tube.

Just wondering if this is something that happens for a time with all new bulbs or if this is potentially a bad bulb? This is only my second bulb change since having my chameleon and I didn't notice this last time.

t5 or t8?

try popping the bulb out and back in; sometimes the connection can get corroded and just needs some movement. Other than that, it may be the fixture's ballast or ignitor

It's a T8. I did turn it off and wiggle the bulb a little to make sure it was seated, but it didn't really budge. In the morning I'll try taking it out completely and put it back in to see if that helps.
