UV lamp question....

Today i bought a new bigger UV lamp (while coversing about the jacksons) but they didnt have the reptile ones they only had ones for fish, I still have the same proper UV bulb in there but my question is is a fish tank lamp ok? I noticed it doesnt have the reflector thing like the reptile ones do, is it fine or do i need to change it???

I dont think it is necessary to have a fancy reflector in the fixture.

I tape aluminum foil to the inside of the fixture if you want it brighter.

yeah i bought a 4 dollar fixture from home depot and I hot glued aluminum foil around the inside.

ahhh...ok then, ill put in some foil, it certainly cant do any harm.
