Using Moths as Feeders

I started off feeding my chameleon Silkworm Moths about two weeks ago. When I had no more of those I caught a few moths from outside and he didn't hestitate to eat them at all. So now that I found something else that my chameleon likes, I was curious as to know if anyone else uses moths as a staple feeder and if so what is the best thing to gutload them with?

if you raise the silkworms and let them cacoon you should be fine but getting them from the outside might not be the best idea since they could have come into contact with pesticides. they could be immune to them while your cham isnt so possibly you could harm your cham by feeding him bugs you catch. ive had a few silkworms cacoon and i just left those sacs in the cage so that when they morphed, they got to fly right around the cage and wait for a tongue to snatch them. just be careful getting bugs from the outside world

I don't use the moths as a staple or main part of my chams diet. I like to call it one of those variables that you can throw in when the moment it is available. I don't think there is much nutritional value to them anyway especially the smaller ones.

My cham goes right after them when I put them in the cage...kind of like when I throw house flies in the cage too.
