URGENT! PLEASE HELP!

Hello everyone. My little veiled chameleon, Rocky, is not doing well at all right now. He seems to be very weak, hasn't eaten in 4 days, and this is his second day without water. I really need help, and I cannot afford to go to the vet as the fee for walking in the door is almost $200. Thank you.

Chameleon Info:

• Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
• Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
• Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
• Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:

• Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
• Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
• Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
• Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
• Location - Where are you geographically located?

Chameleon Info:

• Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, male, 2.5 years old, has been in care for 2 years
• Handling - I get him out only when he wants to, which is probably 3 times a week or so
• Feeding - I am feeding him 7-10 crickets a day
• Supplements - Zilla Calcium Supplement is used daily
• Watering - I have the big dripper that I watch him drink from every single day. I mist twice a day for about 5 mins.
• Fecal Description - He has not shown as much fecal in the past few days
• History - He has never been sick, always super playful

Cage Info:

• Cage Type - Not for sure on exact measurements, but I think 2x2x5 feet, screen all the way around except the front door
• Lighting - I do not know the brand but I turn it on in the morning and off at night.
• Temperature - the temp is in the 80s, the lowest it gets at night is maybe 68. I have a temp measurer I bought online
• Humidity - I do not know the levels but I have a humidifier and mist daily
• Plants - no live plants
• Placement - My cage is about 5 feet above my floor not near any vents
• Location - Tennessee

Current Problem - My chameleon will not eat, drink, and seems to be very weak.

This could be mbd. Your supplements and uvb are incorrect. Those compact uvb bulbs provide almost no uvb and you need other supplements other than calcium.

you need a T5HO linear bulb and proper supplements. I don’t know how to test MBd so we need people who know more than me to add onto this more

That’s what I was about to say. You will need to find out how to treat him. Can you add pics of him to confirm that this is MBD

You will need to correct his husbandry if he is going to get better. He needs correct lighting and supplements. He looks like he has MBD, which will NEED a vet to treat.

Well I can't afford to go to the vet. Its going to be over $400 and I can't do that. I don't know what to do.

Start a go fund me, ask your parents if they can help. I'm sorry to say without treatment and correcting the husbandry it's not likely you're guy will survive, and he will suffer too.

Another option would be to surrender him to a reptile society.
