Where are you located, what species is it? Post pictures. Aquariums are never acceptable housing for chameleons (ecept maybe pygmies if you get the airflow right) if it indeed does need to lay eggs she will need a large laying bin that is at least 12 inches deep and is large enough to put her on the substrate with several inches of room for her on all sides including above her.

Glass Cages are horrible to house a chameleon it needs a screen cage and chameleons need uvb light and uva light taking it to the sun wont help it at all and you stress it every time you take it out can we see a picture of your set up?

Well, actually the sun provides both UVB and UVA, so it's a good thing they are taking it outside. I would build it an outdoor enclosure if it is native to the area.

I forget but Im PRETTY sure that around 2-3 hours of unfiltered sunlight (not in a cage) is good for a day if you dont have a inside cage but the longer the better.
Some one please correct me if im wrong but yea im pretty sure :p
