So i ordered a DIY cage about a week ago and wondering when the hell its gonna actually come in.
I know it all depends on where you live but i was expecting it by now.
Anyone else have any exp on their shipping date and time of arrival...i just dont wanna worry about their possibly being a problem with the order. btw i cant track where it is now.

Also....i know soft trays are ideal ..but since they dont have one made specifically for DIY cages...what can i substitute as one?
...i was thinking using aluminum foil..and basically just shape it.

i would fold heavy duty painters plastic in the shape of the bottom of the cage, staple it at the top to hold it, and silicone it. by the time its done drying it should be a flexible water tray that can be removed

Its not flexible but I believe you could probably use one of LLL reptiles drainage trays. Should work just buy the approp size.

Did you actually order it from diycages.com? If so I would call them regarding your order and see if they can track it for you. I'm sure they must have pretty good customer service and would be willing to help you. Is the bottom just screen? It looks like it's made of PVC..if so..I have a pvc bottom on my reptibreeze and I just put some small holes in it for drainage and sat it on top of a low sterilite container. Or some people have raised it up on 2 x 4's and slid a bin under it to make a drawer that can easily be emptied and cleaned. Hope this helps

first question is did they send it out yet? if you cant track it, it might be because they printed the label but didn't actually get it out yet. I'v had a few problems w/ different reptile supply sites say 5-7 shipping day and i came to find on day 7 that pieces are back ordered.

depends on when you bought it ..if you odered it sat/sun then they didnt ship it out until the 25 and you should get it on the 29th ish lol i bought another one also a week ago...you should have an email or two from them...they will keep you updated if you sent your email in with the ordering process

The LLL tray is a touch too narrow on one dimension.

UPS ground C-to-C usually takes about seven days once UPS has it. Add to that however long it takes for DIY to process the order.

thanks so much..yeah tommorrow is the 7th day since i ordered it. i will try giving them a call or email. normally anything u buy online, you can at least track it yourself, lol so i dunno why this has to be so different. btw JAXYGIRL ..i appreciate your idea, nice!!
