Upgrade to medium or large cage right away?

When my panther is about 6 months he should be at the size where he needs a bigger cage. his current setup is 20" (or 22 i forget) tall. I'm looking into buying a new enclosure now so it's ready.

Any thoughts about whether I should buy the 18x18x36 or just get the 24x24x48 right off the bat? It would be nice to just buy the big cage right away since he will need it eventually anyway. So if the medium size cage isn't necessary I'll do without... Let me know what your thoughts are! Thanks!

Just buy the 24x24x48, if he seems too small just section it off with something or leave him in the 22 for a little longer. It's less expensive than buying two cages.
