I recently posted about my baby veiled, Kecleon, because I was concerned about the noise she was making. Just wanted to say I brought her to the vets yesterday to have her checked out. The vet told me that she's too small to make a proper diagnosis (she's only 4 grams!) but that she suspected it's a respiratory problem. They gave me Baytril to give to give to her every day for 30 days, Flagyl for every other day for 2 weeks, and an antibiotic to use with a nebulizer for 30 minutes twice a day for 2 weeks. I was also told to soak her for 20 minutes twice a day for a week but when I put her in the water (not hot but not cold either) she puffed up really big and started opening her mouth to breathe. I took her out but I was was wondering if that's normal and if I should still soak her? Or should I just mist her cage more for the time being? Any help would be great. Thanks!

She also showed us her patterns and it's amazing to watch her change!

Is it me or are those tiny little spurs on her back feet? Can you post up some better pictures of her back feet, I just want to make sure she is a girl.

Your baby is on a lot of medication.Usually Baytril alone is all that is usually given. But your vet knows. Baytril is VERY hard on your little chams system. You must make sure that she stays hydrated. But if soaking her is upsetting her, then misting will have to do. But you need to make sure you mist her several times a day really well - I mean spraying with a fine mist for at least 4 minutes, and do this at least 3 times a day.

Let me know each day if you see some progress. Also how old is she and how long have you had her?

They wanted us to put her on 7 different medications. Tiny amounts, but I thought that was a lot for her tiny size so I asked for the bare minimum. If it takes that much misting I will do it but I think I'm going to try having her sit under a little stream of water in the sink and see if that makes a difference or if she still puffs up.

Here's a good look at her feet, she's got a guilty look to her haha
