I did find a breeder and bought 100 5 week old crickets, they don't make a sound at all! They are not a purveyor that is listed on this site, however.

Wow... I've had these crickets since Tuesday, yep, the 100 of them, and they don't make a peep. They are almost 1", and they were really inexpensive.
If anyone wants to know, I'm more than happy to share my resource.

I think his is gonna end up like the guy the got cheap dubia's, that looked funny. They were german house roaches...

You definitely have baby cricketoids! You have to place them in metal containers when they are adults because they can punch through plastic/glass containers. Good luck.

Cricketoids. Heh. I find that as long as crickets have a constant supply of food, they remain quiet. My large cricket bin is in the boiler room because my family complained about the noise, but when I want to do extra gutloading, I will take a bunch and put them in a small tupperware lined with whatever I'm feeding them, and they are too preoccupied to chirp.
