hey guys its been almost a week since i took my guy to the vet we discovered he had coccidia when i went to check his eye infection.. so ive been fighting this just wanna give u guys a lil update..

so far today he has been active and moving around the cage with both eyes open... ive been giving him albon every day 2moro we start a smaller ammount of albon. the only issue is his lack of hunt :( he has lost almost 90% of his appetite hopefully we can get over this fast... today i will be deep cleaning his cage again..

and for the eye infection when i went last monday we did a culture on the eye infection and got the results yesterday so i picked up his med called Baytril Liquid i will be giving him that twice a day i started today for 2 weeks but so far his eyes are looking clean but he closes 1 once in a while...

i will keep you guys posted on what's going on :) and thnx everyone again that helped me on my other threads!!

How do you clean his cage so no coccidia remain? I have always wondered since it is so contagious.

Albon and baytril while safe to use put a toll on the kidneys make sure to keep him well hydrated!

Hope he has a clean fecal soon!

i scrubb it and soak it in anti-bacterial soap

You should use 40 volume liquid peroxide, the kind you find at the beauty supply store, the clear one. I read that it is very affective against coccidia. Anti bacterial won't be enough. Good luck oh yeah I also read that on porous vines you should use boiling water instead
