Update on Abudakai

[Abudakai_the_cham]

I recently put Abudakai in his new cage and he really seems to like it. In his old cage there wasn't much for him it was just vines and two ficus trees that were dying because of the heat. His new cage is now bioactive so it's easier to clean and has plants which he loves. There is an umbrella plant, a pothos (I'm trying to grow it to the top of the cage), and a peace lily (he doesn't seem that interested in it). Hopefully with the plant light I have the plants will be ok. Abudakai is also very special I got him at a reptile show as a sub adult and he doesn't have any claws or back spikes. he can't climb on screens so I lined the sides of his cage with garden fence so that he can climb as much as he wants. He hasn't figured it out yet because he's so used to trying to climb the screen and it not working that he just looks at it and turns away. He doesn't like handling still which is fine but we are working on trust so he gets used to me. So yeah that's Abudakai right now

I'm glad to hear that you are taking such good care of that sweet little man. Thank you for the up date and pictures of his new enclosure. My daughter use to line all of her cages with that plastic fencing. It's much easier on all chameleons nails.

Well prepared on the screen,I guess its all new for Abudakai right now,soon or later he shall get the climbing part figured,chameleons can be a very intelligent special kind of the species.
