Unique enclosure idea?

This is mostly for fun, but something that crossed my mind, maybe for a larger species or more active ones….

So we’ve had people attach two enclosures to make them larger, which is a great idea, but what if we connected two 2x4 enclosures at separate corners of a room with some sort of tunnel along the ceiling. Or just had one enclosure that had tunnels going out for added room. I’m imagining almost like the hamster tubes, but larger with branches/vines going through. So they’d be contained unlike a free range(without other dangerous pets, I think free ranges are great), but could still move around a lot.

My concerns would be making it in a way that it looked nice and also that they wouldn’t spend so much time up there that they wouldn’t get hydration/heat/uvb. I guess those things could be added with a more complicated set up even.

Haha well chameleons aren’t as fast, but no I haven’t! If this was done I’d imagine it being made with panels or something so it would be easy to take apart.

I think creating long L shape enclosure to allow more space would be unique.
I always wanted to have a cage where I can attach stone veneers onto the side of the walls.

I guess you could put a bendy branch through something like this... I just dread the thought of trying to clean poop out of a middle piece lol.

Just never get your kids a habittrail cage for a hamster and you will survive what is every parents hell.

On a serious note I think you would have to do it with panels that open. Maybe plexi glass with tons of holes drilled through all panels but the bottom. I dunno I feel more prone to a room take over event that we water proof and have massive branches running everywhere big indoor plants and Lighting hanging from the ceiling.

I often thought about how cool it would be to build out a cage down two walls so that the enclosure meets on the corner. A floor to ceiling sort of thing like you see some keepers of large reptiles build. This would be a if I won the lottery no one would know but there would be signs moment.
