Understanding Reptile Parasites

The most awesome book on reptile parasites, Understanding Reptile Parasites, second addition, by Dr. Klingenberg is available here on the ChameleonForums bookstore. This book is not being published right now. It isn't out of print. It just hasn't been published for a while. This means that you can't get it on Amazon (even though it is listed and they will take your order).
So I am going to suggest anyone interested in parasites go to the forums bookstore and get them while they are available. It is a great way to support the forums and make sure this resource stays available to us!

Yeah, the publisher will probably fire up the presses sometime in the future if their shift to eBook format doesn't work out (my guess), but even if they do - go to the forum bookstore! I just got my copy and it is invaluable for the chameleon keeper.

I just got this - I got it for my kindle on Amazon though. I can see the benefit of having an actual physical copy though.

It is worth having in any format and my next step is to get a microscope and start doing my own fecal testing.

Agreed! It is an excellent book! Anyone thinking of doing fecals should have this book.

I am so glad I just seen this post..i ordered this book about 2 hours ago, used from amazon for 155 and it's 14.95 in the bookstore...never even thought to look here for it so thank u deremensis blue for starting this thread

For any new member, I can't over state how useful this book was when I bought the first edition back in the 90's. It explains this subject in plain terms that any beginner can work with. This book has undoubtably helped save numerous chameleons in captivity, I can at least say it let me do my part and have success with numerous imports

I got that book a while back Dave Weldon had recommended it to me i understand most of it but i still don't know what everything means other then that it really is a great book that explains parasites in depth
