Umbrella plant lighting

How do I keep the lower part of my umbrella plant alive . Little by little I keep having the leaves on lower part of my plant fall off I assume it is from not getting enough light . I have a 2×2×4 cage with a 4 t5 bulb light

Schefflera needs at least 15 watts per square foot. They are hard as hell to keep going if its not next to a window and you are just relying on bulbs. I ended up killing all of mine running just a 2ft bulb and a 45 watt basking light:(

Without natural sunlight, I have found that it is very difficult to keep the lower parts of the schefflera full. I have a 4 buld T5 fixture with 6500K Plant bulbs over mine and the bottom of the plant is VERY bare, however, the top 14" are VERY full, my cham does not seem to mind since he likes to spend most of his time up top anyway.

sent a email to todd from light your reptiles and this is what we came up with I ordered 2 13 watt jungle dawn led bulbs and a light strip. I have to say enough can not be said how helpful todd is.
