Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about. i heard him make a weird sound im not sure if he was hissing or if it was a sneeze. he hasnt done it again so im not sure if it was just a one time thing or what.

also just a added note he still walks around a ton he doesnt sit still to much besides when he is basking.

also i said he is only on the cal without d3 for right now cause im not sure when i should start him on the cal with d3 and the multi vit

Can't help you with the noise. You can probably start the d3 this weekend and then go every other weekend. Or 1st and 15th of the month. Whichever is easier for you to remember.

i think i will do that it would make remembering when i last did it easier

juju...one noise does not a problem make. It does, however, make a LIST. So, write down when you heard the noise, what the circumstances were (just after lights out, right after feeding...whatever) and wait to see if if happens again. If it does, and it happens in the same situation, you probably have a problem (unless it happens when the cat lands on the cage or something else that would warrant a noise). They are not noisy animals, so if you are hearing noises then there's a problem.

yeah thats why i felt it was strange and felt it was something i dhould see what people other then me think cause for me a simple noise is the end of the world lol xDDD so at least now i will keep track of it.

yeah, you don't know. He might have caught site of something that annoyed him, or a feeder might have bothered him so he hissed. It's good that you started this thread because you have a clear record of when it happened.

I'm serious about the circumstances thing though, really pay attention to that. If it happens after "lights out" it's more likely to be an illness issue than if it happens in the middle of the day...also, who's in the room is an issue. If he only makes the noise when your 15 year old with the purple hair comes in the room....well....you might have problems but your chameleon being sick isn't one of them....

If it happened at 1pm, it's less likely to be a health issue. I say that because they are so very good at hiding stuff....they think that when it's dark it's safe to let go....

My guess is he hissed at something. BUT, you are keeping track because who knows? It might be something you need to address.

i keep ttrack of what he does through out the day so i know if nything goes wrong so far so good he was cup feeding the secound day he was here which is awesomeee lol made me so happy i will continue to watch him and see if anything else comes up

Now that i have looked in to it could it have been a fart? i know chams can fart so could that be wat it was ? xDD

He could have been clearing salt from his nose, that's how they get rid of excess, and why you sometimes see people saying it's excess calcium, it can build up around their nostrils. It's wonderful you're keeping such a close eye on him!

it could have been that but i havent seen any build up around his nostrils so im not sure if that was it.

You might not see it. He might have just blown it clear. If you are being careful with your supplements, you may never see any build up around the nostrils.
