Two bulbs

Hey, I got a repti-glo 5.0 bulb last week but I didn't use it on my chameleon (6 months old), because the bulb doesn't provide enough temperature (with the repti-glo 5.0, temperature is around 72F steady)

What would the normal solution be? To get another bulb of the same kind or another kind of bulb for just temperature?

Thanks, and sorry I'm such a noob >.<

chambabysitter1 is right.
Is the 5.0 light a linear tube?
Not sure if repti-glo makes a compact bulb, but they should be avoided.

Reptiglo does make a CFL. And I agree its best to avoid the CFL UVB bulbs and go with linear tubes only.
Neither the reptiglo tube nor the cfl version provides heat. Use a regular household tungsten incandescent light bulb for heat.

A regular clip on fixture with a household bulb in it will provide plenty of warmth. I use a 60 w. A linear UV tube is to supply UVB not heat. You need both for your chameleon.
