Picture please.

Could be a insect part has punctured its inner gum line, leading to swelling. Watch for infection, as you dont want it leading to canker (big infection).
If it gets worse, discoloration becomes apparent, or you find cheesy material around the gum, see your vet.

What has she been eating? Locusts? Crickets? Knives? Gilletines? Is there anything sharp in the cage? We need pics.

Fill out the 'how to ask for help' form in the sticky at the top of the health clinic forum.

Along with that tomorrow we'll take a look at the pic.

What is she eating??

It could be the beginning of mouth rot....Or maybe even extra shed that hasnt came off yet. My adult male panther would get this on his lip sometimes...

she eats superworms but i think u might be right because this last shed seemed to have some trouble coming all the way off.... there is no discoloration and it has looked exactly the same since ive noticed it so i dont think its mouth rot...

Does it seem like it is dried out? Is there any way you can get her to open her mouth so you can take a picture without stressing her out too badly?

I think I would get it checked out by a vet. Shedding shouldn't cause swelling and I'm thinking its likely mouthrot/infection. If it is it will need to be cleaned out by a vet, a culture and sensitivity test done and the chameleon put on the appropriate antibiotic.
