trying to start a cricket colony?

not sure if thats what it's called but I am trying to keep and breed crickets so that i dont have to go to the store every other day to buy them. if anybody has any tips for me that would be great!!
I have about 30-40 in a large tub with egg crates and am feeding them the flukers orange cubes. the guy at the store said that they would be able to get their water from the same cube... not sure if this is true or if i have to get the water gels or wet paper towel. but I'd appreciate any help, thanks so much!!!

I would advise against using the orange cubes. If you are just using it to feed and keep the crickets alive, I suppose it is OK, although still not the best. If you are planning on feeding those crickets to your chameleons, then you must change their diet. There are many threads on here about gut loading, but Bug Burger is one of my favorites combined with fresh fruits and veggies.
