Decided 8 days ago to add to the family with a male and female Jackson Chams. Which were at my local fish store. Got on youtube to see what I could do to better to provide for them and that's how I found chameleon forums, which I have spent many hours reading learning and buying new/ proper stuff for the Chams
Now my concerens:
The m&f were in the same 18x18x36 screen cage and read they should be seperated, so I got the male his own house... Since the move he has been eating drinking and just acting great but the girl is not doing as well. Have seen her drink from the dripper multiple time but only seen her eat twice for over a week. Any sugestions would be great
Thanks Joe.

The female could be stressed out or showing the results of past poor care and shared housing. She could also be gravid, so if she wasn't healthy to begin with she will have problems now. Some chams take longer to acclimate than others too. Can you show us a pic? There may be signs of health problems we can recognize. In the mean time, keep her hydrated, make sure she can't see the male, give her privacy, and describe your husbandry so we can pick up on things needing correction. The sticky message at the top of the Health Clinic forum "how to ask for help" has a list of husbandry questions for you to answer for us. This will really help us help you.

What are you feeding the female? And how are you feeding her?
Was first just putting the smaller crickets in cage then tried using a cup to no avail. Have since ordered some silkworms and feeding tongs waiting on arrival . Sugestions welcome on type of food to purchace. Thanks for replie

I am having a similar problem with my cham. He will only eat worm shaped food. He will eat hormworms, meal worms, super worms, and all other worms. He has stoped eating crickets and roaches. I do not know why he stoped and I am trying to get him to eat them. Maybe your cham will eat worms to.

Will get a better varity ordered tonight,

My jackson drinks best from mistings that are at least 4 minutes long. Your girl is most likely gravid if she was with a male that long. Keep her very well hydrated and try multiple foods, such as smaller superworms, silkworms, crickets. She may be just settling in. Jackson's tend to take longer with everything and are more sensitive with just about everything, with the right set up though they can be easy too. Just remember they supplementing schedule is totally different and so is their lighting requirements.

Do what Carlton says and fill out the form. It will help us with understanding everything.

Hopefully this helps I just added to all the questions, on an iPad and not computer savvy thanks much Joe

The basking temps are far too high. They should only be from 75-80 degrees. Which may be making her feel bad. I would mist three times a day at least if you can, for around 2-3 minutes each time. The lack of plants may really be affecting her ability to feel comfortable, so she isn't eating much or drinking much because of that. I would get plastic plants for the time being.

I would get a better gutload regime, the zoomed and zilla stuff isn't that good. I would throw in some fruits and veggies for all their moisture and then look up some dry foods online, such as cricket crack (which is sold on the forum) or bug buffet (also sold on the forum). Or look up the blog entry by Sandrachameleon about bug gutloads, which will help you make your own.
