Trying hard to save my chameleon from mbd

A few weeks ago I posted about my chameleon that was acting very odd, not moving much and laying on the bottom of his tank. After extensive research through articles, pictures and friendly advice, I have concluded that my 1 year old veiled chameleon definitely has mbd. I must admit that I did not know that his bulb needed to be changed. I was always under the assumption that if it was on then it was working. It is really killing me to see him suffer and I have been trying everything to get him back on his feet. I changed his bulb right away and removed all crickets from his tank to avoid them harming him any further. I also moved him to another tank where he will not be able to climb and hurt himself even more. At first it seemed like he was still willing to eat, even though he would not reach too far for his food and I had to consistently move it in front of him. For a few weeks now, I have been hand feeding him dusted wax worms and giving him repti boost every few days. He eventually stopped going after the worms and I had to feed him by putting the worms in his mouth when he would open it or when he would try to hiss from being stressed. He would close his mouth and start chewing and eating the worms. Unfortunately this was the only way I could get him to eat. Within the past couple days it seems that he has lost the ability to open his mouth and I have not been able to feed him. His mouth is always slightly opened now and he will no longer open it for food or water. I am dedicated to helping him but now seem to be at a stand still. I have read that they usually get worse before they get better but it doesn't seem that he could get any worse and I am not sure what to do.

Please post a recent photo of him.
How do you know it's MBD?
What have you been doing to correct the MBD if kt really,,you is what's wrong with him?

I will post a photo as soon as I can. His legs are all bowed, bent and swollen and he is not willing to move much. I have changed his bulb and have been giving him increased calcium orally.

What calcium are you giving him orally? How much? What's the temperature where he sits and how far is he from the UVB? What supplements do you use and how often for each? Please be specific.

I am rolling each individual worm in repta calcium and heavily covering them in the powder. I have also been giving him repta boost every few days, 2 scoops. His tank is about 90 degrees during the day and he sits 10-12 inches from it. Thanks for trying to help

It's recommended that you use a liquid calcium sandoz or gluconate because they are more easily absorbed.

To get the mouth open if you can get him to drink by dripping water slowly on the end of his nose, you can ease the liquid calcium into his mouth a bit at a time while his mouth is opening and shutting.

It would help if you took him to a vet and got an injection of calcium too.

From your description he has to get back on track ASAP.
