Tree monitor

Has anyone had success with keeping a healthy happy tree monitor? I've recently been looking up information on how they are as pets

Haven't kept any, but have read that they can be flighty, easily stressed, and suffer unless they have a very very large enclosure. Monitors are very intelligent so I would think it would take more to keep them from boredom and frustration. I bet they aren't very social so don't enjoy much handling either. IMHO a first monitor "pet" would more likely be one of the ackies.

That's pretty much what I've read, wanted o hear from any owners, always nice to hear from first hand expirience like with chams

I kept a pair of Blue trees for 10 years. Ask around about me if you like, but what do you want to know about tree monitors?
