in january just gone i went to local pet shop and i was intrested in a chameleon they had there. it was onli 6 weeks old and very cute but she had a little tiny black mark on her side. i asked what it was and the person sed it was jus a little scrape of a bump and said she will be ok. i didnt like the way they wer lookin after her there it seemed like they didnt no what they were doing and the chameleon didnt look happy there everytime i went to the tank it was scratching at the glass like it wanted me to help it and it was also very dark in colour. i fought to my self i cant leave her here they havent got a clue wot they are doing. so i built a viv for her got all new lighting and heating and checked i had the humidity and heat rite and i did so i went back to the shop and bought her. i got her home and put her in her new tank and she was made up and looked very happy and started showing some colour. BUT up until july this little so called "scrape" was gettin worse and i didnt like it. it was gettin bigger and spreading. so i took her to the vet and he told me it was a thermal burn from getting to close to the lamp. in the petshop the people had the heat bulb in the viv surounded by a cage guard that she was always climbing on. i was using a clamp lamp ontop of the viv so she couldnt get near it.and from then it was gettin wot looked to be more painful to her. the vet told me to go back every 2 weeks to keep an eye on progress so i did. but as she is walking she is scratching it with her back leg and it dosent look nice i cant stop her from doing this. ion the last week she has slowed down on eating food but is normal with drinking. i feel like i cant help her and i want to the vet sait there isnt much he can do. i was wondering weather any1 could help with any suggestions
