Translucent Panther ?

Red Island

Ive had this WC female ambanja since she was imported and the lack of pigment around one eye and upper lip has not healed or changed in four months. What do you guys think, possible translucent? I have a clutch of eggs she dropped after being bred in the wild.

I'm not sure I'd call it a trans... You can't really say unless you figure out if it's hereditary or just a birth defect. Perhaps if her offspring have it, then maybe. If they don't have it, you can try breeding them to each other and/or back to her to try and figure it out. Honestly, you probably won't know for 1-3 years.

Regardless of what it is. She's a beautiful little banja. Love her blues, and I bet she throws a gorgeous clutch. She cleaned up well for ya bro. How beat up was she when you got her in?

I agree, I have a panther with same looking mark on its eye from a stuck shed that and one point had a lot of layers of skin. Once I was able to get it off the mark remained.

Possibly scar tissue... i was thinking it could be some type of previous fungal issue... the scales are 100 intact so im not sure about scar tissue. Shedding problems may not be the case, she sheds without issue and i dont think she would have had those issues in her native habitat.

Like pssh mentioned it could take years to find out. Heres another female she came in with ...
