Too young to pass sperm plug?

I have a male veiled cham that I just saw poop and what passed first was a fairly large runny beige thing, then the urates, then the poop. I assume what came out was a sperm plug , but he's only about 4 months old. Is that too young? Is it something else I should maybe be concerned about?

is it still in the cage where you can take a picture of it? I wouldn't really say they are "runny" my chams usually have the sperm plug come out after the poop.

He's younger than when we usually hear about sperm plugs but that doesn't mean it's an issue. Males can be very young when they start breeding (I have heard of a male about 4-5 months old breeding with females) so perhaps your boy is one of those, a little ahead of the curb. At any rate, it's nothing to worry about.

A photo might help us determine if it is in fact a sperm plug, though.

It sure sounds like sperm. Just like with most animals, there's a fairly good range of maturity. We've seen stories of females 5 months old bearing eggs and, as Olimpia says, 4 month old males breeding so it's certainly the most likely answer.
