Too much basking?

I've noticed my juvenile male veiled has been under his basking spot a lot. And by a lot I mean whenever I look at him. I have his enclosure in my room, and I'm in my room a lot. He's always under the thing and I'm wondering if it's too much for him.

if he doesn´t burn himself, which can easyly happen if the lamp is too close or inside his cage. He should be fine.

As Brownie64 said, that's pretty much all they do. In general, they don't move around much unless they are hungry. I am hesitant to bring this up because I see many here keep their cages too hot, but if the rest of the cage is very cold, they will only sit under the basking light.

My room is the warmest in our house. Which is why I have him in mine. Its about 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Im just worried about him being dehydrated. I've seen him drink but not recently. I feel I have to keep misting the enclosure because the water evaporated too quickly.
