Too hot?

It got pretty hot in my Cham room today. I read 94 degrees in the basking area. Should i turn off the basking light on 80-90 degree days or just put a fan in the room to move the air about?

I do a combination of both on really hot days, I find it very dark without the basking light so I often add a cfl to give a nice light.

Depends on the chameleon.

Turning off the light, or keeping a much lower wattage handy are good ways to control the heat.

Misting will cool things down quite a bit also.

I turn the ceiling fan on when it gets hot in the room. Air movement is good for chams. Misting helps cool it off a little too.
