Too cold?

I've been searching around, but have found conflicting answers. What is too cold for our chams?

I'm in south FL, going to be high of 67 but low of 55 this evening. They are outside at the moment sleeping peacefully :)

I would think that that night time temp would sure be too cold and that daytime high I don't believe is good for them for very long.

There's no reason to risk it just because they are sleeping peacefully ;)
Take them indoors! 65 deg for most species at nightime.

As I said, they can take temps down to the mid to low 50's at night, as long as they have a good place to warm up in in the mornings.

though those day time temps are a bit low.

Ya as others stated, 50's are fine at night, as long as its upper 70's during the day. 60's during the day is not good.

are you talking panthers??? According to temps and climate charts the ambient low temp three months out of the year in Madagascar 50 degrees. That is during the day. I would think they would be fine outside in the 60's. The average ambient temp for the year is 65 degrees. If this info is correct, then they should be fine. jmo

That's something I'm curious about. You always see and hear of basking temps (for panthers) in the upper 80's to lower 90's, right? What if you have a sunny 75-79 degree outside temp in full sun? How many days can they go without getting those upper temps? Can they still digest properly for a week at 78 degrees?

I ask because my boys have been out these past two days and will be for the next 3 days in these afternoon temps. I bring them in at night. Mid to upper 50's I'm ok with, but not the upper 40's to lower 50's...

If you research the climate in Madagascar most of the websites say the same thing. There is some variance but the average temp is like 65 degrees. if the sun is not shining on a particular day, it will be even colder. I have my guys outside right now. The temp in the shade is 64, so it is of course warmer in the sun. I know a few keepers who have their chams out pretty much year round. I have been letting my one panther stay outside at night and it has been in the 50's. I will not let him stay out below that though.

Its currently Sunny23°C right now in our chams home town :)

I was just about to comment on Madagascar weather. I have it on my phone so I can research it.
The weather averages are the same all year.
