Well my other 2 Chams were/are being raised in a Exo-Terra glass viv and both cup feed. My most recent Ambanja is in a mesh cage. I have noticed he will not cup-feed!
He will only hunt feeders.
This little guy has no gauge on his tongue, it's always on MAXX POWER!!.
Every time he takes a cricket off the mesh he hits it super hard and I fear he will also hurt/cut his tongue on the mesh wire.
I have to get a video for you guys to understand what I mean. Last night he went after a cricket on the floor of his cage, he missed and his tongue was suctioned to the plastic floor for a sec b4 he could retract it.
All of my other Chams will shoot their tongue with justtt enough power to nab a feeder at that particular distance.
Are Chams tongues tougher than they look? Because they look fleshy and fragile, lol
