Tommy's House!

I know a few of you have been asking to see pics of Tommy's set up. I have put off posting pics as I know there are several improvements I need to make. Before I get shouted at, I will point out that I have plans to rectify everything that is wrong. I bought him and his set up as a package - it is NOT set up how I would choose to, nor is it set up as it should be! I was making plans for improvements before I even paid for him. Having said this, his temps are spot on and he seems happy and healthy, and is eating and drinking normally. I have yet to see any poop, but I know that as an adult he may only be pooping once a week anyway.

Tiff since he has been living in his house like it is, I would think you can make changes as you go. If he is warm and getting UVB, problem solved!! he will be happier cause he knows he is very loved.:D

adults only poop once a week? my 6 month old poops daily/ every other day. pooping every day isnt a problem right?

Amy pooped daily up until she was 9 months old - the longest she's been since is a week between poops. My first cham pooped once a week as an adult.

Is his house all wood???? No glass or screen?

Currently the viv had glass doors and the rest is wood. My plans include cutting out the roof and replacing with mesh. Then I will review his temps before deciding on whether to replace the glass doors with mesh ones (although this is more difficult than it sounds! I know these things are wrong and I bought him knowing that I would need to make some changes. At the moment I wedge the glass doors ajar to allow air to circulate. The viv has vents in the upper and lower parts of the back wall.

Yes as are a good few of mine, they work very well in the UK, the roof is replaced with mesh and a panel at the bottom, i also use exo terra glass enclosures and all with great success ;)

I would just think he'd like to see out. I've read that glass works well in cold climates and have even built a cold weather cage out of plexiglass for a cham friend up north.

He can see out of the front, sometimes they like the security of the closed sides, advantages are no mesh climbing no pulled out nails :)

If he could see out the sides he would be either trying to climb the glider's cage or showing off to Amy! He can, however see the telly, computer screen and the kitchen, lol!:D

Well that's good that he can watch TV, play computer and most important.......watch you in the kitchen. ;)
