I wish you the best with his care. I am just glad to hear it is treatable and he is alright. I know I would have spent every penny as well if he was mine and in the situation. Poor Tommy but glad to hear he is doing well!

Glad to hear that Tommy had a weight gain an a slight improvement. Hope he had an even bigger improvement by his next vet visit.

Thanks everyone! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, but the fact that the vet has seen improvement, albeit very slight, is encouraging. I am pleased that he is now eating better than ever and has put on some weight - he is now up to 182g. His weight hovers around the high 170s and low 180s although one time he weighed 212g but he hadn't had a pop for a couple of weeks.

Also today, the very top of his casque (where the hardened stuck on shed came off) shed fully and properly today! I am still bathing the rest of the hardened shed and it is slowly lifting off. That's gonna take a while too I think! I love this l'il chap so much - he's such a sweet boy!
